He gets jealous when I take my hands off to type, so I will make this quick.

Bella is off of school for an extended weekend. It is nice to have her home for more than a couple of days. We had plans to visit my Grandparents today. My Grandpas health is failing so I thought we would go cheer him up.

Plans changed when we woke up early to welcome over my nieces who were also off of school today. I would have taken them all with me, but Ems was sick and I didn't think it would be a good idea to take her. Of course then it wouldn't be right to leave her behind so I went alone.
It was a nice visit. I rarely get to see them these days. I am going to take them out to lunch next week if he is feeling up for it.
When I got home the house was in total disarray and everyone was hungry. sigh
I had everyone help me clean up and got dinner on the table.

Good news is that I some how managed to get 5 diapers done. Hopefully I will be able to ship them out tomorrow.
3 more orders from the co-op to go!

It is now 10:30 and tomorrow is going to be bananas so I better go get some sleep.

Quick shout out to my girl Summer who had a beautiful baby boy yesterday!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-91975445895818126582010-10-24T18:08:00.000-07:002010-10-24T18:27:24.090-07:00Succesful Sunday SewingI completed an order of 3 sized fitteds for the coop on BBC and another couple that I will be listing on ETSY within the week. The coop diapers are more than half way finished. I will be stocking on ETSY as much as possible.
Although I enjoy Hyena Cart I find it hard to find time to upload pictures and list more than one or two at a time these days. I do plan on listing a few now and then and you can always find Bubble Butt Diapers at WAHM Nation every month on the 10th.

I will not listing anything tonight, because honestly, I am wiped. Joe is working a solid 8 days this week and the kids are pretty much a full time job and a half on the weekends. No complaints here though, lol I like keeping busyUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-36433303718461190812010-10-20T08:00:00.000-07:002010-10-20T08:19:03.983-07:00SmoothiesI came across a link to the Bulk Herb Store last week. And since I am always trying new things to boost my health I thought I would give it a try. The Daily Boost Herba- smoothie sounded good so I bought that one.

Day one I made a smoothie with the ingredients in the video. Strawberry, mango, orange concentrate, yogurt and a bit of kale.
Tasty, though I think I need a better blender. The kale didnt blend well so, it was hard to swallow.

Day two I made it with a banana, yogurt, half cup of orange juice and a few slices of mango. Yum! I love banana and it went down nice and smooth. Mia even liked it. I added more yogurt to hers so she could use a spoon.

The mix itself is ground very fine and has no taste. Gotta love that! I have never really been a fan of smoothies or shakes, but I think I will keep this up. It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and it sure beats cold cereal.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-59938908621695024622010-03-13T11:50:00.000-08:002010-03-13T12:12:11.893-08:00What Lovely Weather DearWe woke up to another cold/wet morning.
Saturdays should be sunny. Isn't that a rule?
No? Well it should be. I am so over these gray, sloppy days. We braved a walk in the woods last week. It was a gorgeous 50 degrees. It should have been wet and muddy but it wasn't! There was still snow on the ground. Protected by the towering trees.
Had my camera battery not died half way through the hike, I would have come out of there with a few stunning shots. There was one pathway, near the edge of the woods, where the sun shone bright through the trees. Bella stopped up ahead to play with something she found in the snow. all around her the trees left a ladder of shadows that went on and on. It would have been neat to get a B&W! but the most beautiful thing about the seen was watching her enjoy the sun and the nature around her.

I am really wishing we were there today. Though by now the snow must be mostly gone. The mud in it's place.

I had a dream that I made a baseball tee shirt with this fabric

All I need is some white and yellow knit to make it. It Should be pretty cute. Sure, everyone has their preferences, but really when done right, woven print diapers rock.
Extraordinary fabric companies and designers like Alexander Henry, Amy Schimler, Robert Kaufman, Amy Butler and so many more.

I built my original fabric stash off of obscure fabric companies and ETSY with these companies. The main reason why I switched to knits is because the cloth diaper market called for it. I have realized over time that I decide what I create with and what I would like to work with is more of these prints. I was limiting myself with the "popular" shiz. Not that I am against knits! My fabric stash revolves around my taste. I love every single print I have, but I am limiting myself with knits and fading into what every other seller has.

So... I am going to do me. (Typed a crooked half grin) and OMG I am in heaven. Just you wait......Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-22615808878903617582009-10-26T08:16:00.000-07:002009-10-26T08:27:32.384-07:00Getting My Sale OnAll diapers listed at bubblebuttdiapers.com are on sale. $20 and under. Both personal projects and diapers for sale. I am trying to work out a pattern for trainers. This project is long over due. Neither of my daughters enjoys wearing a diaper..ever.
Anyone that uses a Bubble Butt diaper knows I like em trim. So the trainers have to be even trimmer and yet effective at catching the little oops that happen.

I have also been working on clothing for the girls. I hope to make all of their spring and summer clothes.
I am what you would call pattern stupid, so I have to make all my own patterns. This has seemed to be a great thing for me. I end up with a better fit with every project and since I have learned the ins and outs of different fabrics I tend to have less adjustments to make.

As far as life, life is cold. The weekend was just lovely though. A pleasant 50 degrees and sunny. A wonderful change from the last few weeks. I was beginning to think that mother nature is not a fan of Wisconsin. I still have much yard work to get done before the snow hits. A big sorry man to the neighbor next door that mows his lawn at least twice a week and makes sure that EVERY SINGLE leaf is removed. I would rather play! Eh, the yard looks decent. The leaves haven't fallen yet so we are good. LOL Once they fall, they go in bags for the compost

As for diapers.. Here are a few on sale!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-84477729787483828242009-06-04T14:07:00.000-07:002009-06-04T14:15:05.342-07:00My Store Is StockedBetween custom orders and playing outside with my girls, I have managed to make a few diapers. Her baby boy is due any day.

I have been taking it easy the past week. I love custom orders, but sometimes I need a break. I am still sewing of course. A couple of side projects for the house and a few diapers that I will hopefully stock someday. I have this thing about not stocking one or two at a time. Dont't ask me why
I really need to get dinner going, but I wanted to share a few from the last week.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-91258740678667654872009-04-17T15:01:00.000-07:002009-04-17T15:21:13.761-07:00About Freaking Time!I love winter. I really do. I look forward to the first snow and maybe even the second and third. But this year I am over it. This year we were teased endlessly. A warm day here and there and then more bitter cold. and the flu that never ends..it goes on and on my friend.. TORTURE. We are not sick people. Well, we weren't, but it feels like we have been battling something or other all winter.
I keep saying winter like it is still February. It is April 17th.
So finally we get what we have been waiting months for. Not just sun, we have gotten plenty of that, but heat! 65 yesterday and 75 degrees today.

There was no way we were sitting home

Unfortunately it supposed to rain on Sunday and Monday. I have a few packages to get out and then I will be focusing on getting diapers ready to stock in my shop. My fabric closet is over flowing. I am going to have a hard time deciding which prints to use. I love them all. I have at least 20 different prints that I have yet to use.. this is bothering me. LOL

I got a new sewing machine last week. Getting to know a new machine is a necessary process. It works the same as my old one, but we are not one yet. Ok that sounds silly. I have been using the other one every day for 2 years so it will take some time.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-81488461404458187942009-02-22T10:21:00.000-08:002009-02-22T10:34:55.455-08:00CustomsThe regularly scheduled Monday stockings have not been so regular. A long customs list and having to be up at 6 am most days does not leave me with as much time to sew as I would like. I will have to skip this week, but hopefully I will have more up next week. He came over and picked one out for a friend of his that is expecting. I love converting people to cloth:)

In other news...

I got a serger! woohoo. I love this thing. Now I know why they say, after using one for 10 minutes, you never go back. Haha I have some practicing to do. It will make sewing doublers and wipes so much easier.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-15980947742216880972008-02-27T07:36:00.001-08:002008-02-27T07:42:21.411-08:00I fell in loveI fell in love with this fabric last night. Its a Japanese print and quite expensive but I could not help myself. It will make adorable diapers and possibly be enough left for a little something else.

Eeek I cant wait to get it.

I also found a sock monkey print that I hadnt seen 100 times before

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-13850130473018241642008-02-08T21:45:00.000-08:002008-02-08T21:59:50.549-08:00Ok I will admit itMy name is Sara and I have a fabric addiction. LOL
I get such a joy out of picking out fabrics. Whether online or at an actual store, I love shopping for fabric.
Its funny since I hate shopping for clothes or food or pretty much any other item. I just love it. I have some discretion and some restraint of course. I only buy what I can use and I know I will use it all but I am not sure if it makes sense to have this much at one time. I like to have a huge variety of material to work with. I love getting the mail and finding a big box of fun stuff to work with. I love even more to go to an actual B&M store and bring it home. Unfortunately I can not find everything that appeals to me at my local shops so online it is. Especially the core of my projects.
the insides. It is important to have good, quality materials to work with..
So online it is. I have spent many hours scouring sites to find the best stuff to work with and it has really paid off.

Now I just need to work on my storage space at home. With all the new stuff I have acquired and all the new prints and organics on the way, I need more space!
Way too much fun yo:)
I am having a blast!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-91922020430972168532008-01-07T16:39:00.000-08:002008-01-07T16:50:23.764-08:00shes a big girl nowWe went to this play place called funset, yesterday. I have been toying with the idea of letting bella go with out a diaper. She just got the hang of going on on a toilet and still has accidents here and there, but I figured, what harm could come from letting her try going out with out a diaper. Worst case scenario.. she wets her pants and I have to change her. Not a problem as long as I have extra clothes. She did it. All day and even when she was so worn out, she still used the toilet. yay.
Now she gets a sticker for every day that she is dry, instead of every time she goes.
It will probably be a while before she goes through the night but overall, this whole thing has been easier than I expected.
Of course, I doubt I will feel that way the next time I am cleaning poop off the floor. hahaUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1266732967539348537.post-51161292664285484012008-01-01T17:36:00.000-08:002008-01-01T17:46:29.898-08:00New stuff I am working onOn top of working on my pattern, I also added wider touch tape and laundry tabs. Let me tell you! I wish I had done it a long time ago. It really helps the fit and of course, no more laundry snakes. Those are a pain. am I right?
Since I have had some extra time and I love working on new projects, I have started to make infant/toddler pants. I love making whole sets but I do not have the funds for shirts right now so just pants it is. For now. they are fairly simple, yet so snuggly and cute.
Here is my darling arabella modeling a pair for me.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2
